Episode 37: Why You Should Visit Other CrossFit Gyms
Many of us who are part of the CrossFit culture don’t take breaks when we travel for business or even when we are on vacation. Drop-ins are excellent opportunities to meet new people, have new experiences and create new relationships.
This week, we talk about why you should visit other CrossFit gyms when you are out and about. Also you get to hear the story about how a random drop-in had a significant impact on Brody on his journey to becoming the coach and owner he is today.
Conversely, Mo shares a negative experience he had on a a recent vacation. Let’s just say he is still waiting on a call from a gym in New York about their class schedule and drip-in pricing.
At the end of the day, you can learn something from every drop-in experience. Hopefully they are good, but it’s safe to say that you may also “Learn” some things in your travels as well as the result of a negative interaction.

It’s ok to fail in CrossFit! Plain and simple. So long as you learn something about yourself in the process, it's a win. Don’t look at it as a ‘loss’, look at it as a ‘learning’ opportunity.
Don’t get caught up if someone has a 10 pound PR and you had 5. Don’t get caught up if you only had a 1 pound PR. Gains are gains so respect them.
Listen in as Mo's frustrations turn in to a math lesson as Bro runs the number on how much of a difference 5 pounds makes over a training cycle.
